Chapter Fourteen

Crow

A nigga mind was all over the place these last two weeks, but guilt was keeping me from doing the right thing by Londyn. The shit I pulled in the strip club with Tessa had me keeping my distance when I been ready to go back home. After the talk I had with Scar, I was ready to put it out there that Londyn was mine, and I didn’t care no more. The only thing I had fucked around and fucked Tessa again. I knew I should’ve stayed the fuck away from her, but that shit was hard.

When I left from Tessa crib, I stopped and picked up the items that I had ordered for Londyn. I knew she wasn’t at home, so I wanted to set things up for her and take my girl on our first date. Londyn had been leaving a nigga voicemail after voicemail, and I didn’t even reply, so hopefully, this would be enough to get back in her good graces.

When I stepped into the condo, I tossed the keys down and immediately started to set things up. First thing I did was head to our bedroom and laid the Gucci boxes on the bed that held her a dress and some shoes. I needed to send her a text to get her to come home. Pulling out my phone, I typed up something short and sweet.

Me: I’m at the crib. Get here so we can talk

I made my way back to the front door and pulled the rose petals out the bag making a trail all the way through the house to the bedroom and bathroom. A nigga had heard about the sale from Bath and Body Works, so I grabbed some candles. I lit a few through the house. This was my first time doing some shit like this, and I hoped she liked it. I laid a few items out for her bath. I wasn’t going to run the water until she got here, but I wanted everything set up.

“Alexa, play some slow jams,” I called out and made my way over to the bar. Pouring me some Hennessey, I sat down on the couch and waited for Londyn. Once I got everything back good with her, I was going to have that talk with Zhoe and let him know everything. My phone snapped me out of my thoughts, and it was Tessa. I ended the call, went to her contact, and blocked her number. This was not the shit I needed right now. The sound of the front door opening had me sliding my phone in my pocket fast as hell. Londyn rounded the corner, and she had a shocked expression on her face.

“Wow!” she just looked at me and shook her head. I stood up and placed my glass on the table.

“Hey, baby.” I smiled. Londyn didn’t look happy to see a nigga, and that hurt a nigga. She placed her purse down.

“You thought the rose petals was going to do the trick for you after being missing in action? Crow, this shit ain’t gone work this time.
